Osceola Regional Medical Center is now HCA Florida Osceola Hospital. We are a 404-bed tertiary care hospital accredited by The Joint Commission and are designated as a Level II Trauma Center. We are also a teaching hospital in collaboration with UCF College of Medicine. The hospital campus is centrally located in the heart of Kissimmee, accessible from Orlando, St. Cloud, Celebration and Poinciana. Our specialties include full-scale adult and pediatric emergency care, women’s health services, behavioral health care and orthopedics and spine care.   Congratulations to our HCA Florida Healthcare colleague and nurse leader, Gladys Dushane, ’16MSN, RN, CMSRN, who was recognized as an Outstanding Knight Nurse and Alumni of the Year at the recent UCF College of Nursing Alumni Dinner. Gladys served as medical surgical services director for the past three years at UCF Lake Nona Hospital and before that at HCA Florida Osceola Hospital as a nurse leader for nearly 4 years. What makes Gladys extraordinary is not only her commitment to patient care, but her ability to navigate intricate challenges at the bedside with leadership, ingenuity and innovation. Under her tenure as director of medical surgical services at HCA Florida Healthcare UCF Lake Nona Hospital, she drove positive change — improving clinical outcomes as well as patient and staff satisfaction. She is not only a leader at HCA Healthcare, but actively collaborates with community organizations to advocate for the needs of her patients and families as well as to advance health equity initiatives.   May is American Stroke Month, and HCA Florida Healthcare partners with the American Heart Association to raise awareness of symptoms, treatment and prevention of stroke. We are also honored to be part of the UCF College of Medicine/HCA Florida Healthcare Graduate Medical Education Consortium, with more than 600 residents and fellows in a wide range of medical specialties at our hospitals across the state.
