Sofia Richie Celebrates Her and Elliot Grainge’s Newborn Daughter, Eloise, With Party (2024)

Sofia Richie and U.K. record executive Elliot Grainge were first linked in January 2021, a few months after Richie officially parted ways from Scott Disick. She and Disick dated off-and-on for almost four years just after he broke things off with Kourtney Kardashian, the mother of his three children. Things got serious between Richie and Grainge fast, according to an insider talking to Us Weekly at the time.

“They started out as friends before they became a couple, and are now getting serious. Their relationship took off and they have been getting closer and closer and spend practically every day together,” the source said in April 2021. “He’s super sweet and a really cool guy—her friends and family approve!”

They were seen for the first time in public in January, sparking rumors that they were more than friends.

Richie went Instagram official with a cute pic of her and Grainge in an elevator together, posing in the mirrored walls.

She was soon gracing the timeline with more and more adorable pics.

An insider said that Grainge is “low-key and isn’t someone who craves the spotlight.”

“They like to be homebodies but also enjoy going out together,” they added.

They were spotted going to Nobu together for one of those nights out.

The couple enjoyed some summer fun together at the beach.

In a more glam image, Richie captioned a photo of them with “Marco&Maya.”

For Grainge's birthday, Richie shared a kissing pic, writing, “You are everything to me. I love you, happy birthday babe.”

On the post, Nicole Richie commented, “Elliot i love you more than you love instacart.”

They were photographed together in Los Angeles.

The couple enjoyed London, closer to Grainge's home.

Richie and Grainge attended the Elton John AIDS Foundation's 30th Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party together in West Hollywood, California.

In April, Richie posted on Instagram to announce her engagement to Grainge, showing him proposing to her.

“Forever isn’t long enough @elliot,” she wrote.

Grainge brought Richie to the British Consulate General Residence in Los Angeles, California, to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee from a distance.

“Sofia is over the moon about her engagement. She couldn't be happier that she found The One,” a source told Us Weekly. “She's taking the time to enjoy being engaged and traveling the world with Elliot, but at the same time, she has started wedding planning and looking at locations. She wants to get married next year.”

They added that her sister Nicole was helping with wedding planning.

“Her mom is also offering advice, and of course Miles and Lionel are supportive and there for her if need be,” the insider added, saying Richie's “friends and family adore Elliot and think he's the perfect match for her.”

The engaged couple attended the 37th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at Microsoft Theater.

The pair took a beautiful trip to France to celebrate their anniversary.

Richie's godmother, Shelleylyn Brandler, threw the couple a shower, and the bride shared a carousel of pics on Instagram with the caption, “So much love.”

On April 22, Richie and Grainge were married at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France. It was a glamorous affair. The bride wore a custom Chanel dresses, and told her followers, “Marry your best friend.”

The newlyweds attended the Chanel Cruise 2024 Collection fashion show at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles.

Richie gave Grainge a loving shout out on Instagram for his 30th birthday, sharing a slideshow of pictures with her husband. Many of them appear to be from their wedding day, along with several selfies, a romantic dinner setting, and a few pajama shots.

In the caption, she wrote, “The big 3-0!!!! I am beyond obsessed with you. Happy birthday to the man of my dreams! I can’t wait for a lifetime more.”

Richie announced that she and Grainge are expecting their first child together, a baby girl. She will be born during Gemini season.

“She’s growing pretty fast, so [the due date] is a bit up in the air,” Richie told Vogue in an interview. “I love the YouTubes and the TikToks—even before I was talking about getting pregnant—of gender reveals, so we had our OB text my assistant Becca [our baby’s gender], and we bought two party poppers: one blue, one pink. She left out the one with the correct color inside, and Elliot and I popped it together. We both really thought it was a boy, so it was a true shock. My dream in life is to have a daughter [though], and Elliot is really excited for a girl too. I think it’s so typical for boys to want boys, but he has a lot of sisters. It was really sweet. He’s very sensitive.”

On January 28, Richie posted a TikTok of her sweet, intimate gender reveal. In the video, she excitedly jumped up and down as Grainge prepared to pop a party popper, and their golden retriever sat and watched. When the popper burst with pink confetti and smoke, Richie let out a long scream while running around the backyard before collapsing to the ground, while Grainge watched in shock with wide eyes and a dropped jaw.

“I’m so excited,” Richie said tearfully as they hugged.

Richie was seen on April 3 in Beverly Hills wearing a stretching green velvet two piece that showed off her growing baby bump, joined by Grainge. The velvet top tied loosely around her like a robe, and on her feet were a pair of hot pink flats.

It appears she was leaving the NB44 Dinner, where she was photographed wearing the same look that day with Maya Gottesman Libani.

Grainge wore a navy blue jacket and dark pants by his wife's side.

Grainge’s late mother was named Samantha Berg, so the baby’s middle name is a honorary for her memory. Berg suffered complications during childbirth and eventually went into a coma before passing in 2007.

On Sunday, June 9, Richie shared photos from a party thrown in honor of her and Grainge’s newborn daughter.

“Celebrating Eloise 🤍,” she wrote over a picture of a long banquet table decorated with floral arrangements.

The new mom also had merch made to celebrate her baby. Pink tops with Eloise’s date of birth and name in the classic Eloise children’s book font were available to guests.

Richie shared photos of some of Eloise’s gifts, which included a stack of Baby Dior gift boxes. There was also a gray Dior stroller and a throw pillow embroidered with her name.
